(HIGHLANDS, November 1) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little's campaign launched the final 36 hours of the campaign by reminding its supporters of the favorable media clips the campaign has received as both New Jersey and national observers have - finally, and not a moment too soon! -- noticed that the campaign is peaking at just the right time.
Below are excerpts from some of the campaign's recent media coverage:
Here in Central New Jersey, Republican Anna Little has never before run for Congress, and she has just 2½ cents for every dollar her Democratic opponent can put into the race ...
"Anna's Army" is one example of the tea party's loosely organized effort nationwide to get out the vote against the far more experienced operation being waged by labor unions and President Barack Obama's political team. Her supporters come by the dozens, often more than 100 at a time, to hand-deliver campaign material.
"So many of us, it's the very first time we've been involved in politics," says one of them, Nick Romagnoli, a semiretired commercial real estate broker who worries about the national debt. "We've just had enough."

In New Jersey, Frank Giarlo, a 74-year-old former Democrat who doesn't identify himself with the tea party, was among those who got a visit from Anna's Army. He told his visitors his health insurance costs have risen dramatically since he retired 13 years ago and he fears the health care law will make his rates still higher. He asked the volunteers to leave a Little campaign sign for his yard.

When Ms. Little spoke the people in front had to lower their signs. She's 4-foot-11½. She said, "It is my honor to be part of your grass-roots movement." She said, "I'm gonna bring the Jersey shore to the Washington Beltway to straighten them out." This got cheers. "A Jersey girl can take a California girl any day." That got cheers too ...
Ms. Little is confident of victory. She believes no one understands the mood of the voters this year: "No one's noticed what's going on." The Democrats are "not in line with the people." The No. 1 issues: jobs and the economy. After that, health care. "You have government and insurance companies together directing what kind of insurance must be purchased by an individual or employer." Her opponent, as head of a House subcommittee on health care, was a major supporter of ObamaCare. It caused tumultuous town-hall meetings in August 2009 ...
She agrees there is no civil war in the party-yet. All people want are solutions to our problems. "They don't care who does it. They are happy to be in the Republican Party as long as it does not compromise its principles. . . . They will hug me and kiss me now, but they'll be on top of me when it comes time for me to vote and they will hold my feet to the fire ..."
She was asked if they call her the Little Engine That Could. "No," she said. "They call me the Little Engine That Will."

In New Jersey, 11-term Democratic Rep. Frank Pallone has seen his lead over the Republican tea-party favorite Anna Little narrow rapidly as undecided independents have broken in Ms. Little's favor.
"If Little wins, it will represent a complete annihilation of the Democrats in this race, and it could well happen," says Patrick Murray, who directs the state's Monmouth University Polling Institute. Across the state, he said, "independents are going for Republicans more than I've ever seen before."

(HIGHLANDS, October 14) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to publication of an analysis by Americans for Tax Reform of the 111th Congress' record on tax cuts v. tax hikes - today asked if her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, understands the difference between a tax "cut" and a tax "increase."
"Its clear that Frank Pallone's been in Washington too darn long," said Little. "Apparently, he's been there so long, voting for so many tax increases and so much more spending, that he's now begun to confuse tax 'cuts' with tax 'increases.'
"On NJN's 'On the Record' broadcast over the weekend, he said the current Congress has enacted more tax cuts than any other Congress.
"Here's his exact quote: 'I mean, there's been more tax cuts and efforts to try to, uh, uh, help businesses through tax credits or tax cuts in this Congress than in any other Congress.'
"But Americans for Tax Reform - the nation's leading tax reform group - just yesterday published an analysis that essentially says Frank Pallone doesn't know what he's talking about. According to the ATR analysis, the 111th Congress enacted tax cuts totaling $373.6 billion, of which just $107.6 billion is permanent tax relief.
"Meanwhile, that same Congress enacted tax INCREASES totaling $725.7 billion, of which every single penny is permanent.
"That's a net tax HIKE of $352 billion enacted by the current Congress. So Frank Pallone's insistence that this Congress has passed more tax cuts than any other Congress leads me to ask a simple question - does Frank Pallone not understand the difference between a tax 'cut' and a tax 'increase,' or he is just willfully telling an untruth?

(HIGHLANDS, October 13) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - an independent wife and mother who, unlike her 22-year incumbent opponent, Frank Pallone, has never voted for, and will never vote for, Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House of Representatives - today reiterated that she "gets it," and asked if her opponent even understands the term.
"People greet me all the time when we're out knocking on doors," said Little, "and household after household, I hear the same thing - 'Anna, you get it.'
"When working families in the Sixth District tell me they're having a hard time making ends meet, I get it.
"When they tell me they're upset that the politicians in Washington don't seem to care about what their constituents back home think, I get it.
"When they share with me the difficulties of trying to make the mortgage payment, save for the kids' braces and maybe put away a little something for college or even a weekend getaway down the Shore, I get it.
"When mothers tell me of their concerns over the government takeover of healthcare, and their fear that they'll no longer be able to see the doctor of their choice, whether for themselves or their children, I get it.
"When seniors tell me of their anger that the bill Frank Pallone voted for cuts Medicare by $500 billion, I get it.
"When I'm told that taxes are too high, and government spends too much, and we're drowning in a river of red ink thanks to politicians like Frank Pallone, I get it.
"That's why 200 people came out to walk with us in the Columbus Day Parade in Long Branch on Sunday," continued Little. "But 200 people didn't come out to walk with Frank Pallone. Fewer than a dozen did.

LITTLE CAMP RESPONDS TO MONMOUTH POLL ADJUSTMENT
(HIGHLANDS, October 8) - Larry Cirignano, campaign manager for Republican congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to the Monmouth University Polling Institute's remarkable decision to adjust its numbers on a survey as a result of a numbers-crunching analysis by a local blogger - today released the following statement:
"In all my years of working to elect conservative candidates, I've never before seen a pollster acknowledge that his own numbers were wrong. But yesterday afternoon, that's exactly what happened, when the Monmouth University Polling Institute adjusted the numbers on the survey it released a day earlier and cut 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone's 'lead' by 25 percent, slashing it from 12 points to just 9.
"This remarkable turn of events happened as the result of an analysis by Art Gallagher, the editor of MoreMonmouthMusings.net.
"When the survey results were originally released, we questioned the methodology of the survey - it used robo-calls instead of live callers. "In all my years of working to elect conservative candidates, I've never before seen a pollster acknowledge that his own numbers were wrong. But yesterday afternoon, that's exactly what happened, when the Monmouth University Polling Institute adjusted the numbers on the survey it released a day earlier and cut 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone's 'lead' by 25 percent, slashing it from 12 points to just 9.

"Meanwhile, this Congress has - for the first time since the enactment of the Budget Act of 1974 - failed to pass a budget for the Federal Government. And now it's preparing to adjourn without passing legislation to block a massive tax increase.

Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) today announced its newest round of 'On the Radar' and 'Contender' candidates. By reaching the first and second step of the three-step 'Young Guns' program, these Republican candidates have reached the fundamental benchmarks to place them on the road to victory. Now, these 23 candidates are ready to take on the Democrat establishment and return fiscal sanity to Washington.
"These candidates have worked hard to meet the benchmarks that have been laid out before them and are determined to hold Washington Democrats accountable this November," said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX). "Middle-class families are tired of watching the Democrat majority spend this country deeper into recession while they have been forced to tighten their belts. With Americans desperate for change, these 23 candidates are determined to reign in reckless spending, cut taxes and return the economy back to a state of vitality."
Originally founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Paul Ryan (R-WI) as a member-driven organization, the Young Guns program has become an official NRCC effort dedicated to electing open-seat and challenger candidates nationwide. Pallone's "Recovery" Dies Amidst Rising Unemployment
Candidate Anna Little slams Pallone and Pelosi for the 54,000 jobs lost in August
Highlands, NJ- Pallone and Pelosi have whipped up a toxic mixture of reckless spending, "Bureaucrats-Gone-Wild" regulation, and top-down economic control -- and breaking economic news reveals just how deadly it has been for our economy.
The US Labor Department announced Friday that the nation's unemployment rate has once again begun to climb; it currently stands at 9.6 percent, 48 percent higher than its level when President Barack Obama was elected in November 2008.

Candidate Anna Little believes that it is time for Frank Pallone and Nancy Pelosi to take responsibility for the economic mess that they have made. "By excessive borrowing, taxing, spending, and regulating, progressives are doing precisely the opposite of what we should be doing to allow our economy to thrive and produce jobs," Little said. "They need to get out of the way of the private sector economy."
Frank Pallone and Nancy Pelosi, however, don't seem to be getting the message. They have supported calling the latest economic news -- a net monthly loss of 54,000 jobs -- "positive news." Little, however, understands what the people in Congressional District 6 are thinking: Who in their right mind sees the loss of thousands of jobs as positive?
Even worse, there are hints to the media that they are planning a "Stimulus II." Reports and op-eds in the New York Times, the Christian Science Monitor, and other liberal media organizations suggest that it will contain direct aid to states, a disastrous and expensive policy eliminated decades ago -- as well as massive investments in public works, a tried-and-failed strategy that discouraged private investment and prolonged the Great Depression.

Like a medieval doctor bleeding his patient, Progressives insist that the right treatment is more government, more leeches. "It is working as intended," The Times opined Saturday.
"It is time that America wakes up to the progressives' perverse intentions," Little said. "If we allow them, they will destroy our prosperity, our way of life, and what makes our country great."

Hurricane Anna Makes Landfall in Hazlet this Saturday 9/4/10
Highlands, NJ - Another weekend, another 3,000 voters met. In a ground game that has, through six weeks, personally contacted more than 25,000 voters in the 6th District, Anna's Army takes on their first real challenge when they descend on Hazlet, NJ this Saturday, September 4th at the Red Oak Diner on Rt. 35. It must also be noted that Anna's interview with CNN's Soledad O'Brien attracted well over 100 supporters to Ocean Grove, NJ on Monday morning.
Tireless and dedicated volunteers will attempt the massive feat of contacting almost 6,000 voters to spread Anna's message of less spending, less costly and job-killing regulation, lower taxes and genuinely smaller government. If their unprecedented performance thus far is any indication, Anna's Army is up to the challenge.
Taking on 22-year incumbent Democrat Frank Pallone for the people's 6th District House seat, the Republican nominee for Congress Anna Little is vying to become the only female in New Jersey's all-male Congressional delegation.
Anna and her rapidly expanding army of volunteers will rally at the Red Oak Diner, 2973 Rt. 35 North in Hazlet, NJ on Saturday, September 4th. Highlands, NJ – In a poll released by the Anna Little for Congress campaign, Anna Little is only six points behind 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone. The poll, conducted by National Research Inc., shows Pallone at 40% and Little closing the gap at 34%. Perhaps most telling is that Pallone has nearly 100% name ID among voters in the district. “The more people learn about Anna Little, the more they like her and can see her as the right alternative to the incumbent. The voters already know about Frank Pallone and becoming increasingly uncomfortable with his out-of-touch voting record. He’s been in Washington too long and has become a bit too cozy with Nancy Pelosi.” commented campaign chair, Leigh-Ann Bellew.
Aside from Pallone’s voting history and strong support of Speaker Pelosi’s agenda, Anna’s campaign is running an unprecedented ground effort that is taking her message directly to the voters. During the past five weeks, Anna Little’s volunteer army has knocked on more than 10,000 doors in the Sixth District. A tireless campaigner, having won her past five elections for Mayor and Freeholder in similar fashion, Anna is comfortable taking her message directly to the voters.
Little said she was heartened and gratified by the results, though she admitted she is not surprised: “The arrogance of Frank Pallone and Nancy Pelosi aside, New Jersey voters have sent and are sending an unmistakable message to Democratic incumbents - stop spending money we don’t have and bankrupting our children. It seems that neither Governor Christie’s election nor the unsustainable path on which the Democrats in Congress have put America matter to entrenched incumbents like Frank Pallone and Nancy Pelosi. As Frank Pallone said at his town hall last year, he just knows better what’s good for us.”
Little’s ground game arrives in Manalapan this Saturday, August 28th, beginning with a meet and greet followed by dozens of volunteers and the candidate spending the day in the neighborhoods. Highlands, NJ- Sometimes you come across an issue and the important question to ask isn’t whether it is legal or illegal, but whether it is right or wrong.
As Mayor of Highlands and the Republican nominee for Congress in the 6th District, where we suffered the loss of hundreds of our family and friends because of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, my position is that the building of a mosque so close to ground zero where thousands of Americans lost their lives, is entirely inappropriate.
Additionally, there are many questions surrounding the funding of the mosque that should be answered before the ‘legal’ question is settled. With so many fanatical groups across the globe supporting extreme anti-American views which often lead to violence, this question should be among the first answered before any ground is broken.

All aboard the Campaign Train! Anna’s Army to Canvass Middlesex Boro this Saturday
It’s full steam ahead in Northern Middlesex County
Highlands, NJ—With the tally after four weeks standing at just shy of 18,000 voters who have been directly contacted by a volunteer for Republican nominee for Congress Anna Little, Anna’s Army will easily break the 20,000 barrier this Saturday, August 21st in Middlesex Boro. The rally point this week is Middlesex High School, located at 300 Kennedy Drive, off of Rt. 28, directly across the street from McDonalds in Middlesex, NJ.
Volunteers will gather from 8:30-10:30am before fanning out across Middlesex to deliver the message that voters have a legitimate choice this year other than 22-year Progressive spendthrift incumbent, Frank Pallone. Members of the Press and the general public are invited to attend and document this historic campaign. Anna Little will be present and will address the rally between 8:30 and 10:30.
