Newt Gingrich Endorses New Jersey Congressional Candidate Mayor Anna Little.

Highlands, NJ
—Republican congressional candidate and Highlands Mayor Anna Little has received an endorsement from former Speaker of the House and General Chairman of American Solutions, Newt Gingrich. The endorsement comes as no surprise to those who understand that both Little and Gingrich stand on strong conservative values.

Fundamentally, both Gingrich and Little believe in limited government which gives power to the individual rather than the state. According to Mayor Little, “After enumerating specific rights retained by the people in the first eight amendments, the Ninth Amendment and the Tenth Amendment spelled out the principles of limited government…In essence both amendments state that the people retain certain rights, and that those powers not granted to the federal government and not prohibited to the states, are reserved to the states or the people.”

Gingrich and Little also share similar concerns for the economy and job growth throughout the nation. As expressed by Gingrich, “America’s economic woes are not due to the excesses of capitalism, as the left claims, but instead due to abandoning supply-side, strong dollar policies for easy credit, deficit spending, and stimulus.” When explaining New Jersey’s economic woes, Little commented that “All levels of Government, from the Federal Government to the States to local municipalities, need to work cooperatively to lower the crushing tax burden on our families.” She believes that out-of-control taxation and regulation penalizes America’s workers and businesses.

Mayor Little joins Gingrich in opposing the government’s takeover of healthcare. “Americans have a Constitutional right to choose their own healthcare insurance and medical providers, or fore go insurance coverage and contract directly with medical providers, free from government mandates with the resulting fines and possible imprisonment for noncompliance.” Little has made numerous appearances in Trenton to oppose the controversial bill.

As an immigration attorney, Anna Little thoroughly understands the need for a secure border and Gingrich artfully states Little’s position when he says, “America is a nation of immigrants… However, America is also a nation of laws. We must have a lawful process of immigration and should not enact policies that encourage illegal immigration…We must insist the government live up to its promise to the American people to secure the border and adequately police business hiring."

Gingrich and Little agree on a multitude of issues because they recognize that Washington does not seem serious about border security while dominating its own people through excessive taxation and regulation. In endorsing Anna Little and her candidacy, Gingrich has recognized an ally—one who devotes herself to preserving the inalienable rights of American citizens.

Impact of President Obama’s Economic Policies on New Jersey Businesses and Families

As New Jersey residents know all too well, the economic climate in our State is dire and has gotten worse since the current Administration has embarked on its deficit spending spree. As the President descends on New Jersey to speak about the economy, some key facts about New Jersey’s economic state should be remembered:
· New Jersey has lost 85,600 jobs since President Obama took office in January, 2009 *
· New Jersey’s unemployment rate has remained stagnant at well over 9%, 33rd in the nation, for 13 consecutive months since May, 2009**

**Source: http://www.bls.gov/web/laus/laumstrk.htm

The President’s economic policies have not worked. The Administration’s efforts will not work because they cannot work. The only vehicle capable of reinvigorating our State’s stagnant economy and putting people back to work is a free and vibrant market led by small businesses. Congress’ reckless spending and additional layers of bureaucratic red tape will not do the job.

To highlight the damaging impact of President Obama’s economic policies on New Jersey small businesses and families, coinciding with the President’s visit to New Jersey’s 6thCongressional District, Mayor and Republican nominee for Congress, Anna Little, invites you to a Press Conference:

DATE: Wednesday, July 28, 2010
TIME: 11:00 a.m.
PLACE: Burger King, 260 Plainfield Ave, Edison, NJ
PARTICIPANTS: Anna Little, Republican Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, NJ-6

At the press conference, Anna Little will be discussing the continuing economic crisis facing many New Jersey Businesses and Families living in the 6th District. The press conference will include the current state of the economy and offer solutions to help New Jersey recover from the current recession that the failed policies of the Obama Administration and Democratic led Congress have exacerbated over the past 18 months.

North New Jersey Tea Party Group Officially Announces Support For Anna Little
Cites Specific Strengths In Anna's Record and Positions On Issues

JULY 27 2010: The North New Jersey Tea Party Group, headed by Mark Kalinowski, today announced its official support for candidate Anna Little in her race for U.S. Congress from New Jersey's 6th congressional district. New Jersey's 6th congressional district consists of 630,000 people over four counties: Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, and Union.

The North New Jersey Tea Party Group is the largest New Jersey-based tea party organization on Facebook in terms of members, with over 4,500 of them combined in our two group pages. The Anna Little campaign deeply appreciates the North New Jersey Tea Party Group's support, and recognizes the value of such an endorsement, as the group has only endorsed two other candidates nationally for the November election.

In their release, the NNJ Tea Party Group identified many problems with incumbent Democrat Frank Pallone's record, characterizing him as "a dedicated enemy of liberty."

1. Pallone has already voted for what is arguably the largest tax increase in U.S. history, cap-and-tax:
http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll477.xml

2. Pallone didn't just vote for ObamaCare, he admits that he was "one of the authors" of the Democratic Party's hostile takeover of our nation's healthcare industry.

3. Pallone voted to continue federal funding for ACORN, after several ACORN people in multiple states had been videotaped providing help to undercover journalists posing as a pimp and prostitute asking for advice how to run a child prostitution ring:
http://michellemalkin.com/2009/09/17/another-pipeline-closed-off-house-cuts-acorn-funding/

Anna Little's record and positions, by contrast, support free markets, limited government, and liberty of the individual. The NNJ Tea Party Group specifically mentioned some of Anna's comments during the Congressional Candidates Forum in Toms River, New Jersey on May 17th.

1. We need "to restore our federal government to its constitutional limits... taxes are completely out of control."

2. "Businesses are over-regulated and have left the state because of the EPA and the DPA at the state level as well... the more regulations we force business to comply with, the more we drive these businesses not only out of the state, but out of the country... get rid of the EPA."

3. "Climategate is validation. I do not believe there is a man-made cause to climate change. I believe it [climate change] is cyclical. I believe that's what the science proves... alternative energy will come through a free-market system in a capitalist economy..." (Note: as with all forum candidates, Anna indicated that she would support a congressional investigation into Climategate.)

All forum candidates -- including Anna -- also raised their hands to indicate that they would vote for a ONE-SENTENCE full repeal of ObamaCare.

Congressional Candidate Anna Little Faults Frank Pallone's Anti-Employment Agenda
As NJ's jobless claims rise faster than any other state, Pallone/Pelosi policies makes the problem worse

Highlands, NJ – The Associated Press reported that jobless claims rose faster in New Jersey than in any other state the week of July 8th, 2010. As out-of-control government scares business and investment out of our state and out of our nation, the jobs they created disappear and so do the quick-fading notions of "economic recovery."
Source: http://www.northjersey.com/news/business/070810_Jobless_ ...

Mayor Anna Little, Republican Nominee for Congress in New Jersey's 6th District challenging twenty-two year progressive incumbent Frank Pallone, knows that Pallone and Nancy Pelosi are only making the problem worse.

“The Federal Government, by excessive borrowing, taxing, spending and regulating is doing precisely the opposite of what should be done to allow our economy to thrive,” Little said. “The Government needs to get out of the way of the private sector economy.”

Pallone has received consistent F’s from the National Taxpayers Union for the past twelve years. Source: http://www.ntu.org/on-capitol-hill/ntu-rates-congress/me ...

Another 8,000 New Jersey residents, newly unemployed, began claiming unemployment benefits during the week ending June 26, the Labor Department reported.

Frank Pallone and Nancy Pelosi think that unemployment checks issued to these 8,000, as well the other 9.7% of New Jersey's workforce, will pull us out of recession. Their failed policies have not worked and will not work.

"A thriving private sector is what will put New Jersey residents back to work," said Little, "Private sector growth is being actively thwarted by the Pallone-Pelosi-Obama agenda that promises the largest tax increase in history as Pallone’s radical health care scheme is implemented this January. New Jersey's 6th district and America needs new leadership in Washington that understands that government does not and cannot create jobs."

Frank Pallone Misleads Seniors With his Latest Taxpayer-Funded Mailer

Pallone Misleads Seniors with Latest Mailer
Congressional Candidate Anna Little chides his dishonest tactics

Highlands, NJ—What really is in health reform for seniors? Health insurance that costs more, but does less, doctors who must replace compassion with "cost-effectiveness" and bureaucrats that come between you and your doctor. Congressional candidate and Highlands Mayor Anna Little strongly objects to Congressman Frank Pallone's latest taxpayer-funded effort to mislead his senior constituents and destroy the quality of care they currently enjoy.

Seniors must be alert to the following revealing details, all concealed within the Obama-Pallone health reform scheme:

• A blanket cut of $500 billion dollars to Medicare, even as millions are added to its rolls: Pallone supported cutting funding while expanding coverage--policies which will inevitably result in rationed care, poorer quality and slower treatment. Even the Congressional Budget Office admitted that "reduc[ing] access to care or diminish[ing] the quality of care" is an entirely possible consequence of these cuts. Anna Little, unlike Pallone, knows that risking the lives of seniors to experiment with a gigantic new entitlement is unacceptable and dangerous. Source.

• "Comparative effectiveness" regulations that will deny life-or-death care to seniors: In an attempt to keep medical costs in check, Medicare will begin to ration care based on the QALY (quality-adjusted life-years) formula, which divides the cost of a treatment by the number of years of benefits it will provide. Since seniors have less time to benefit from any treatment, Medicare's new formula effectively says they are no longer "worth it." Source.

• Oversight that is oblivious to 99.5 percent of Medicare fraud: In his mailer, Pallone suggests that Medicare fraud only makes up $450 million dollars, or 0.1 percent, of its total yearly cost. This is a gross underestimate, as any of the dead practitioners who were paid $92 million in Medicare claims in the last decade would tell you. Harvard professor of public management Malcolm Sparrow, who was previously a criminal fraud investigator in Britain, called such estimates "ridiculously low." Research has shown that fraud makes up 20 percent of Medicare costs, or $90 billion, every year. Source.

• "Time bomb" taxes and fees that come into effect after Obama has left office: The healthcare law is conveniently structured so that while all of the benefits arrive when Obama is in office, all of the taxes are introduced years--sometimes a full decade--after he has left office, leaving taxpayers with an enormous bill. Source.

If elected, Anna Little would enact healthcare reforms that would truly protect seniors. A full description of her policies, which include health care savings accounts (HSAs) to put seniors in control of their medical expenses, tort reform to end the frivolous lawsuits that inflate treatment costs and a true crackdown on Medicare fraud, are available online at www.annalittleforcongress.com.

Frank Pallone Doesn't Know the Difference Between the Truth and a Myth

Pallone Lies to the People on Their Dime Concerning Government Healthcare Takeover
Congressional Candidate Anna Little Refuses to Accept his Arguments

Highlands, NJ—Congressman Frank Pallone’s most recent “Constituent Update”, paid for by constituents of the 6th District, ostensibly seeks to dispel “myths” about government-run healthcare. Congressional candidate and Highlands Mayor Anna Little agrees with most American citizens that the only myths about the healthcare reform bill are those that Pallone would advocate as truth.

First, Pallone claimed that government healthcare will not lead to rationed care, noting that “reform takes insurance company executives out of the decision making process for your family.” Anna Little has retorted by noting that “the vast majority of people would rather make their health decisions after consultation with their doctor than with a government bureaucrat”. Mayor Little realizes that a lack of competition among insurance companies has led to today’s broken system and has developed an alternative to Pallone’s disastrous bill:

o Tort reform: Lawsuits, and the “threat” of lawsuits, add tens of billions of dollars to health care costs requiring doctors and hospitals to practice “defensive medicine”.

o Allowing health care insurance providers to sell policies across State lines to increase competition, lower cost and increase availability.

o Demonstrating a real commitment to stopping Medicare and Medicaid fraud, estimated to account for 20% of those programs’ total cost to taxpayers.

o Eliminate taxpayer subsidized health care for those illegally in the United States.

o Encouraging HSAs – Health Savings Accounts, which would put people in direct control of their healthcare, without any third party interference.

o Remove antitrust protection for insurance companies.

While Pallone’s healthcare bill would merely compound the problem, Little’s suggestions would target the root of the crisis and produce genuine, lasting results.

Next, Pallone made the statement, “We can afford healthcare reform”. Mayor Little asks, “Who can afford Healthcare reform?” The taxpayers will bear an increased burden and see a decrease in the quality of healthcare due to a dizzying new array of government bureaucracy and an increase in the number of individuals who have coverage. Because Congress is exempt from abiding by the reform, Frank Pallone can afford healthcare reform. The taxpayers in the 6th District and the rest of the Country, however, cannot.

Little recognizes that “reckless taxing and spending has created a staggering 14 trillion dollar federal debt and a 1.5 trillion dollar budget deficit, both of which are clearly unsustainable. Government has over stepped its bounds, and must be turned back. No more bailouts and corporate welfare; we will not borrow and spend our way to prosperity. I support a balanced budget amendment and the elimination of earmarks and pork barrel spending.”

Mayor Little will continue to fight against this radical healthcare bill and encourages all Americans to do the same: “The current health insurance bills written by Frank Pallone, proposed by both chambers of Congress and signed by the Obama Administration, should be opposed under any circumstance as they will effectively “socialize” our entire health care insurance and medical delivery system and will ultimately create a single payer government run healthcare system…These provisions will bankrupt businesses and increase the double digit unemployment rate in NJ.”

Congressman Pallone Issues Shocking Statements Concerning the Oil Spill

Mayor Anna Little Rebukes his Act of Blame Shifting

Highlands, NJ—Democratic Representative and 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone has recently issued critical comments, stating what he would have done in the president’s place to prevent the disastrous effects of the gulf oil spill, much to the chagrin of Highlands Mayor and Republican Nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s 6th District, Anna Little:

“Were I president,” Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) told Politico, “I would have gone out and hired the best experts in the world and put together a consultative panel to advise the president and his Cabinet secretaries, and peer review or second-guess everything BP said they would do throughout this entire time.”

(source: http://www.bluejersey.com/diary/16121/frank-pallone-on-bps-feelgood-pr-campaign)

Strangely, Pallone seems to forget that he was already in an extremely influential position as a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to prevent or at least ameliorate the effects of the spill.

Mayor Little sharply criticized Representative Pallone’s personal lack of initiative before and after the gulf crisis when she noted that “as a senior member of the congressional committee with oversight jurisdiction over these [Environmental] operations, Frank Pallone is culpable. It is inexcusable that our government, through the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, could have and should have prevented this disaster, yet did nothing… It is little wonder that the American people have such a low esteem for Congress.”

(source: http://www.examiner.com/x-34769-Essex-County-Elections-2010-Examiner~y2010m6d24-Anna-Little-lambastes-Frank-Pallone-on-oil-spill)

Pallone’s recent criticisms only magnify his own failure to take the proper measures that could have prevented or minimized the BP disaster. Mayor Anna Little, in stark contrast, has demonstrated that if elected to Congress, she would hold herself directly accountable to those who elected her.
