LITTLE: I GET IT. DOES PALLONE?

(HIGHLANDS, October 13) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - an independent wife and mother who, unlike her 22-year incumbent opponent, Frank Pallone, has never voted for, and will never vote for, Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House of Representatives - today reiterated that she "gets it," and asked if her opponent even understands the term.

"People greet me all the time when we're out knocking on doors," said Little, "and household after household, I hear the same thing - 'Anna, you get it.'

"When working families in the Sixth District tell me they're having a hard time making ends meet, I get it.

"When they tell me they're upset that the politicians in Washington don't seem to care about what their constituents back home think, I get it.

"When they share with me the difficulties of trying to make the mortgage payment, save for the kids' braces and maybe put away a little something for college or even a weekend getaway down the Shore, I get it.

"When mothers tell me of their concerns over the government takeover of healthcare, and their fear that they'll no longer be able to see the doctor of their choice, whether for themselves or their children, I get it.

"When seniors tell me of their anger that the bill Frank Pallone voted for cuts Medicare by $500 billion, I get it.

"When I'm told that taxes are too high, and government spends too much, and we're drowning in a river of red ink thanks to politicians like Frank Pallone, I get it.

"That's why 200 people came out to walk with us in the Columbus Day Parade in Long Branch on Sunday," continued Little. "But 200 people didn't come out to walk with Frank Pallone. Fewer than a dozen did.

"I guess that's because Frank just doesn't get it. Does he even understand the term?

"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

Newt Gingrich Endorses New Jersey Congressional Candidate Mayor Anna Little.

Highlands, NJ
—Republican congressional candidate and Highlands Mayor Anna Little has received an endorsement from former Speaker of the House and General Chairman of American Solutions, Newt Gingrich. The endorsement comes as no surprise to those who understand that both Little and Gingrich stand on strong conservative values.

Fundamentally, both Gingrich and Little believe in limited government which gives power to the individual rather than the state. According to Mayor Little, “After enumerating specific rights retained by the people in the first eight amendments, the Ninth Amendment and the Tenth Amendment spelled out the principles of limited government…In essence both amendments state that the people retain certain rights, and that those powers not granted to the federal government and not prohibited to the states, are reserved to the states or the people.”

Gingrich and Little also share similar concerns for the economy and job growth throughout the nation. As expressed by Gingrich, “America’s economic woes are not due to the excesses of capitalism, as the left claims, but instead due to abandoning supply-side, strong dollar policies for easy credit, deficit spending, and stimulus.” When explaining New Jersey’s economic woes, Little commented that “All levels of Government, from the Federal Government to the States to local municipalities, need to work cooperatively to lower the crushing tax burden on our families.” She believes that out-of-control taxation and regulation penalizes America’s workers and businesses.

Mayor Little joins Gingrich in opposing the government’s takeover of healthcare. “Americans have a Constitutional right to choose their own healthcare insurance and medical providers, or fore go insurance coverage and contract directly with medical providers, free from government mandates with the resulting fines and possible imprisonment for noncompliance.” Little has made numerous appearances in Trenton to oppose the controversial bill.

As an immigration attorney, Anna Little thoroughly understands the need for a secure border and Gingrich artfully states Little’s position when he says, “America is a nation of immigrants… However, America is also a nation of laws. We must have a lawful process of immigration and should not enact policies that encourage illegal immigration…We must insist the government live up to its promise to the American people to secure the border and adequately police business hiring."

Gingrich and Little agree on a multitude of issues because they recognize that Washington does not seem serious about border security while dominating its own people through excessive taxation and regulation. In endorsing Anna Little and her candidacy, Gingrich has recognized an ally—one who devotes herself to preserving the inalienable rights of American citizens.

Anna Little Responds to Frank Pallone's Press Release regarding Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act

Continuing to misunderstand and misdiagnose the causes of our economic downturn, Frank Pallone on May 17th issued a press release outlining his support of yet another level of useless and detrimental government bureaucracy to the already stifling regulatory system emanating from Washington. Considering how completely out of touch with Main Street Frank Pallone actually is, this is not surprising.

Anna Little, small-town Mayor and 6th District Congressional candidate with a direct line to the people she will serve, spoke with the Two River Times and properly addressed the issue rather than demagoging the banks and financial institutions who are merely symptoms of a problem that begins and ends in Washington

Mayor Little said that "Government regulation is not the answer to the fraud and abuse of shareholders that occurs on Wall Street. Government regulation drives up the cost of business and interferes with free market competition. "

Responding to Pallone’s claims that D.C. has all the answers, regardless of the fact that they are in fact the career politicians who caused the meltdown in the first place, Mayor Little noted that "Business experts know their industry, and can expose fraud, and reckless behavior. The best redress is via the civil and criminal court systems."

Finally, Mayor Little points out that Washington and Frank Pallone have proven themselves wholly incompetent in directing the economy and that more such efforts will only lead to more cost, more loss and near permanent unemployment:

"If the Federal Reserve is an example of the competence of Government to regulate the financial market, my point is made clear. Government must get out of the way for business competition to restore ethics in the financial market and create jobs."

"The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, HR 4173, is unconstitutional. The Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3, regulates commerce between the United States and foreign countries, between the United States or any state and the Indians, or commerce between two or more States. The Commerce Clause does not regulate business generally."

Frank Pallone has been meddling in and destroying our economy for over two decades. His liberal party-line voting record is evidence of his complete misunderstanding of how our economy actually works. Rather than getting to the root causes of the issue, career politicians like Frank Pallone, who have never held a real job in their lives, continue instead to stir passions and promote “solutions” that have been tried, tested and proven as failures.

It’s time the 6th District elected someone with the common sense and understanding necessary to reform Washington before destroying our economy with more useless, costly Wall Street reforms.

Press Release

Date: May 6, 2010

Subject: Endorsement

I am very privileged, on behalf of the exponentially growing membership of the Middlesex County Tea Party, to endorse Mayor Anna Little for U.S. Congress – 6th District. We have clearly discerned the candidates and the issues, and our membership overwhelmingly endorsed Mayor Anna Little during our meeting last evening.

Her primary opponent, Diane Gooch, was invited at least five times to come speak with us. She chose to ignore us and the large constituency we are representative of. Mayor Little’s congressional opponent, Frank Pallone offers a free people nothing but more of the same failed Washington politics, and his goal of being a “career” politician.

Anna Little will be an outstanding, genuine and Constitutionally – centered Congresswoman for the 6th District. We share our affirmation of her with our fellow citizens in the 6th District, and respectfully ask you to support her in her efforts to restore constitutionally - limited government, fiscal responsibility and free market economics.

Mayor Little joins NJ Tea Party and Independence Hall Tea Party presenting Healthcare Petition to Governor Christie

(Trenton, NJ) – This morning Mayor Anna Little met with representatives of the NJ Tea Party and the Independence Hall Tea Party as they presented a petition in opposition to the Health Care Bill to Governor Christie's Aide. The petition was in the form of an eight foot long scroll bearing over 900 signatures and comments opposing "Obamacare". Tea Party Representatives expressed both constitutional and economic bases for their objections to the bill.

"Citizens' objections to the Health Care Bill are well founded and based on violations of the Constitutional rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness," said Mayor Little. Mayor Little went on to state that"'Obamacare' not only obligates individuals and employers to purchase health insurance, but further requires policies to be acceptable to the federal government. The Constitution does not empower federal government to require citizens or employers to make specific purchases."

Governor Christie's Aide explained that the Governor was reviewing the matter and that the meeting had been set for her to listen to the concerns of constituents and bring that information to the Governor for consideration. Tea Party representatives explained that they were supporters of Governor Christie's fiscally conservative policies. However, the impact of the Health Care Bill on constitutional rights makes the issue of paramount importance.

Mayor Little stated that an additional concern raised by the Health Care Bill was the potential rationing of care, the need for federal government officials to approve treatment alternatives, and the violation or abolition of doctor patient privilege. "This Health Care Bill comes close to violating the right to Life, in that it alludes to the possible denial of treatment for lack of government approval.", said Mayor Little. "It is this aspect of the bill that raises such alarm among the citizenry."

A total of 1200 signatures were submitted to the Governor's office opposing the Health Care Bill on legal grounds. Governor Christie's office will advise regarding his decision on this matter once review is complete.

"Tea Party organizations should be proud of their work relating to this violation of fundamental constitutional rights. It is an honor and a privilege to join with them in their efforts to bring these violations to light." concluded Mayor Little.
