LITTLE: SENIORS WILL HAVE NO BETTER FRIEND THAN I
(HIGHLANDS, October 29) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little focused her campaign's message on the large population of seniors residing in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District - seniors who have been disproportionately hurt by the votes cast by Frank Pallone during his 22 years in the Congress.
"All over our district, I meet seniors who are worried for the future - theirs, and their children's and grandchildren's," said Little. "They see a government taking over more and more of their decisions. They see a political class that seems no longer to care about them, despite the sacrifices they've made to allow younger generations to enjoy a lifestyle they couldn't. And they fear a government that doesn't seem to know how best to get our economy back on track.
"New Jersey seniors should know this - they'll have no better friend than I, when I go to Congress in January," continued Little.
"It was Frank Pallone, not I, who cast a vote to cut $500 billion from Medicare.
"It was Frank Pallone, not I, who cast a series of votes over the last 22 years to raise the national debt from $2.6 trillion to $13.6 trillion, and pass on a debt of more than $30,000 to every man, woman and child in this country - including our grandchildren.
"It was Frank Pallone, not I, who cast votes to put government bureaucrats between doctors and their patients - including their senior patients, who may now find themselves forced off their current health care coverage and into some new plan that doesn't provide the benefits to which they've grown accustomed.
"And it was Frank Pallone, not I, who cast vote after vote for higher taxes and more government spending - higher taxes and more spending that saps our economy, drives up the cost of living, makes New Jersey one of the least affordable states in the country, and forces many of them to become 'plane ticket grandparents' - the kind of grandparents who need to use a plane ticket to see their grandchildren, because they've been forced to move out of state for their retirements, and only see their grandchildren at the holidays, when they get on a plane to come back to New Jersey.
"On all these fronts and more, our current Congressman has failed to lead for seniors," said Little. "He has raised their taxes, borrowed their money, and put their children and grandchildren in debt. It's time we stopped that, and moved in a new direction - a direction that gives New Jersey's seniors more freedom of action, leaves more money in their pockets, and secures their ability to see the doctor of their choice.
"In four days, New Jersey will vote, and we'll have a chance to send a fresh face to Washington," said Little.
"If you think we're headed in the right direction, then Frank Pallone is your man," said Little. "But if you think we're moving in the wrong direction, if you think you're ready for a change, then I need your vote - because you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

Little: Why Is Frank Pallone's Web Site Silent On Obama (Pallone) Care?
(HIGHLANDS, October 28) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little today maintained her campaign's focus on Frank Pallone's recent silence on his role in the passage of the government takeover of health care, frequently referred to in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District as "PalloneCare."
"Back in the spring, when he thought it was going to be popular, my opponent infamously said of the government takeover of health care, 'This is not Obama's bill. This isn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. This is MY bill,'" said Little. "But now that the public has learned more about what's in it, and it's not nearly as popular as he thought it was going to be, he's gone radio silent - why, his campaign web site's 'On the Issues' section doesn't even MENTION health care!"
"Sadly, this is not surprising," said Little. "All we've heard from Frank Pallone is distortions of my views, rather than an explanation for the votes he cast for a failed trillion-dollar stimulus package, a failed cap and trade policy that would raise everyone's electricity bills, and the government takeover of health care.
"Of course, it's perfectly understandable - if I had cast a vote to cut Medicare by $500 billion, reduce patient choice, put government bureaucrats between doctors and their patients, and raise taxes, I probably wouldn't want to draw attention to it, either.
"But that's the big difference between Frank Pallone and me - I would never have cast that vote in the first place!
"In five days, New Jersey will vote, and we'll have a chance to send a fresh face to Washington," said Little.
"If you think we're headed in the right direction, then Frank Pallone is your man," said Little. "But if you think we're moving in the wrong direction, if you think you're ready for a change, then I need your vote - because you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

LITTLE TO PALLONE: WHERE ARE THE JOBS?!
(HIGHLANDS, October 22) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to the release of New Jersey's unemployment figures for the month of September, showing that the state lost another 20,200 jobs, and the unemployment rate dipped two-tenths of a percent because so many working-age residents gave up on finding work and decided to leave the labor force - today asked her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, a simple question: "Where are the jobs?
"Mr. Pallone, today I have just one simple question for you," said Little. "Where are the jobs?!
"Today's unemployment figures continue the disturbing trend we've seen over the last 20 months - New Jersey continues to lose jobs," said Little. "In the month of September, New Jersey lost ANOTHER 20,200 jobs.
"That's the worst jobs report in 18 months," continued Little. "Not since March of 2009 has a New Jersey jobs report been this bad.
"Since the official end of the recession in June 2009 - well more than a year ago - New Jersey has LOST 62,400 jobs. It's a sad state of affairs when the government deems a recession officially 'over,' but we continue to lose jobs.
"Worse, the unemployment rate in September declined from 9.6 percent to 9.4 percent - not because more people found work, but because more working-age residents have been out of work so long that they GAVE UP on finding work, and removed themselves from the job market," continued Little.
"That's a sad, sad commentary on the failure of the Pelosi-Pallone strategy. And it's not what Frank Pallone and Nancy Pelosi promised when they rammed through their massive trillion-dollar 'stimulus' package - they promised, if you'll recall, that unemployment wouldn't go higher than 8 percent.
"The best thing the government can do is to lower tax rates and reduce regulation, and create an environment in which the entrepreneurs and job-creators in our nation will put their capital to work for all of us," continued Little. "Instead, for the last 20 months we've gone in exactly the opposite direction. Nancy Pelosi and Frank Pallone have made clear their determination to raise taxes on the job-creating class, and have made clear their determination to keep borrowing money to pay for more failed 'stimulus' programs.
"It's time for a change in direction.

LITTLE CAMP TRANSLATES ASBURY PARK PRESS ENDORSEMENT
HIGHLANDS, October 21) - The campaign of Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to the decision by the editorial board of the Asbury Park Press to endorse 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone - today released a translation of selected excerpts of the endorsement editorial.
APP: "Veteran Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. has been a tireless advocate for issues important to the people he has represented in his 6th Congressional District for the past two decades."
Translation: Frank Pallone is a 22-year incumbent. The year he was elected, the national debt was $2.6 trillion. Today, it stands at $13.7 trillion. Frank Pallone has been tireless, all right - tirelessly voting for more spending and more debt!
APP: "As chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee, he helped craft the health care reform package."
Translation: As Pallone himself says, "This isn't Obama's bill. This isn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. This is MY bill." If you're not happy with the government takeover of healthcare, you don't have to look too far to find its author - he's our incumbent, Frank Pallone! Blame it on him!
APP: "If re-elected, Pallone says he will concentrate on food and drug safety ..."
Translation: If re-elected, Pallone will likely continue activities that lead us to wonder if he regularly swaps official influence for campaign cash, or if it was just a one-time thing? See this New York Times story from last week:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/25/health/policy/25knee.html
APP: "Republican opponent Anna Little, a former Monmouth County freeholder and current mayor of Highlands, won the GOP primary as a Tea Party candidate."
Translation: As chardonnay-sipping, Brie-munching liberal elitists, we have no idea what is going on with this whole "Tea Party" thing. And because we've never had a Tea Party member to one of our cocktail parties, that concerns us.
APP: "Faced with the choice between Pallone and Little, voters in the district, which includes all or parts of 28 municipalities in Monmouth County, 10 in Middlesex County and one each in Somerset and Union counties, should opt for the thoughtful, considered positions of Pallone instead of the often strident protestations of Little."
Translation: We'd rather have an arrogant, out-of-touch, milquetoast liberal elitist representing us than send a fighter to Washington.
What is more interesting than the standard liberal-editorial-board-endorses-liberal-incumbent-for-reelection, dog-bites-man story is the Readers' Comments appended to the editorial endorsement. We commend to your reading the 78 comments that were posted within the first 24 hours of the endorsement publication, available here:

LITTLE: ZERO-FOR-TWO IS NOT A RECORD TO BE PROUD OF
(HIGHLANDS, October 21) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to news reports indicating that growth in healthcare spending is shrinking as a result of the stagnant economy and the recently enacted government takeover of healthcare - today reiterated her determination to fight to repeal Obamacare when she gets to Congress.
"Yesterday, the Chief Financial Officer of Johnson & Johnson reported that the growth in healthcare spending is decelerating," said Little. "The Wall Street Journal reported him attributing this to the sluggish economy. Patients are postponing elective surgeries, and some are worried about whether or not they should take on new medical expenses. Other challenges, he said, include the loss of COBRA benefits for those who have lost jobs and can't find new ones, and the rising costs of healthcare as a result of Obamacare.
"So this Congress is zero-for-two - they still haven't created the jobs they promised, and as a result, many Americans are being forced to postpone medical procedures they need.
"For 22 years, Frank Pallone has told us he knows best. Well, the citizens of the 6th Congressional District know better than he or any government bureaucrat what's best for them and their families. And that's why they're flocking to our campaign.

LITTLE ENDORSES ACTION ON PEDIATRIC BRAIN INJURY
Sarah Jane and Friends Endorse Anna Little
(HIGHLANDS, September 30) - Republican congressional challenger Anna Little -- endorsing legislation recognizing Pediatric Acquired Brain Injury as the leading cause of death and disability for children and young adults, and endorsing the National Acquired Brain Injury Plan, which her opponent, 22-year incumbent Democrat Frank Pallone, has been blocking from an up-or-down vote in the Congress - today challenged Pallone to move the legislation out of his Energy and Commerce Committee Health Subcommittee.
At a press conference at Anna Little for Congress headquarters, Sarah Jane Donohue - the five-year-old namesake of The Sarah Jane Brain Foundation - announced her enthusiastic support for Anna Little for Congress. Several of Sarah Jane's friends, also stricken with brain injuries, also announced their support for Little.
"Frank Pallone is wrong to hold up the most broad-based, bipartisan healthcare initiative of this entire Congress," said Little. "As Chairman of the Health Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee, he has the power to move this legislation. More than a hundred Members of Congress of both parties have already co-sponsored this legislation, and yet it's been sitting in his subcommittee for a year."
"He has the audacity to speak about healthcare reform, when he is personally blocking a national political consensus dealing with the number one leading cause of death and disability for our children and young adults - brain injury. I support H. Con. Res. 198, and as a Member of Congress next year, I look forward to working with families and professionals who deal with pediatric acquired brain injury to better prevent, identify and treat this disease."
"The Brain Injury Association of New Jersey enthusiastically supports H. Con. Res. 198," says Barbara Geiger-Parker, President and CEO of the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey. "We hope Congress passes this measure as soon as possible." The Brain Injury Association of New Jersey is the Sarah Jane Brain Project's State Lead Center of Excellence for New Jersey, and it was involved in the development of the National Pediatric Acquired Brain Injury Plan (PABI Plan).
Patrick Donohue, father of Sarah Jane Donohue - a five-year-old victim of traumatic brain injury suffered when she was violently shaken by her nurse when she was just a baby - said, "It is pretty clear Congressman Frank Pallone either doesn't care about kids with brain injuries, or he is so arrogant he thinks he knows better than the leading experts in the country. That's why I support Anna Little and I encourage all of my friends and family to do the same."
Jennipher Dickens - mother of four-year-old Christopher Daughtrey, who, like Sarah Jane Donohue, is a victim of traumatic brain injury suffered as a result of abuse - joined Donohue in endorsing Little over Pallone. "Frank Pallone has had a year to move this important legislation, and he's failed to do so. That's just wrong."
Craig Stevens - a survivor of a brain injury caused by a motor vehicle crash when he was but 20 years old - also endorsed Little. "Frank Pallone should be ashamed of himself! As a survivor of a brain injury myself, I wish there had been a National Pediatric Acquired Brain Injury Plan in place when my injury occurred. If there had been such a plan in place, my life and my family's lives would be completely different today. We need people like Anna Little who actually listen and act as opposed to merely acting like they are listening. That's why I support Anna Little!"
"It is time to hold our politicians accountable and that is what we are doing today," said Kim Illions, mother of four-year-old Cole Illions, who suffers from pediatric hydrocephalus. "On behalf of my son, Cole, and on behalf of the many families in the sixth congressional district of New Jersey who have a child with a brain injury, we support Anna Little!" Kim Illions is the president of the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation. Their family resides in Iselin, New Jersey.

PALLONE, SCARED, REFUSES TO TALK TO DOCTORS ABOUT HEALTHCARE, CANCELS JOINT APPEARANCE WITH LITTLE
(HIGHLANDS, October 20) - Twenty-two year incumbent Congressman Frank Pallone today cited a "scheduling conflict" - the lamest of lame excuses used by those who don't want to debate their opponents - in pulling out of a scheduled joint appearance with his challenger, Anna Little, planned for tomorrow night. The two had been scheduled to appear together before the Monmouth County Medical Society at the Oyster Point Hotel Red Bank, NJ at 7 PM. Anna Little plans to keep her commitment to the healthcare community and is scheduled as planned.
"Frank Pallone is scared to talk to doctors in New Jersey about the government takeover of healthcare he rammed through the Congress," said Little. "And that's disappointing. Not surprising, I must say, given his efforts to do everything he can to find ways not to have to appear on the same stage or in the same forum with me, but disappointing nevertheless.
"The good news," continued Little, "is that I'll have all that time to myself to hear the doctors complain about PalloneCare!"
Last week, Pallone refused to appear on set with Little to tape NJN's "On the Record" broadcast; instead, Little sat by herself in studio to take questions from Michael Aron, while Pallone was interviewed in his office by NJN's Adrienne Supino. Meanwhile, Little has accepted an invitation for a debate to be hosted and aired by News 12 New Jersey, but the station is still waiting for a response from Pallone.
Rather than take questions from New Jersey doctors and constituents concerned about the passage of PalloneCare (remember, he is on record declaring that "This is not Obama's bill. This isn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. This is MY bill."), the 22-year-incumbent has chosen instead to opt for the potentially more receptive audience of the Ocean Township Democratic Club.
According to an event invitation posted yesterday at Organizing for America - a Democratic National Committee front group - the Ocean Township Democratic Club will play host to Pallone at 7:30 PM.
You can read about the Ocean Township Democratic Club event here: http://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gp3kmq
"It's one thing to disrespect your constituents so much that you don't take their views into account when deciding how to cast a vote in Congress," concluded Little. "But when you don't even respect them enough to show up and take their questions, and opt instead for the refuge of an appearance before a local Democratic Club, you've taken disrespect to a new level.
"Remember, you can't change Washington without changing the people you send there!"

LITTLE: MY DETERMINATION TO REPEAL OBAMACARE ISN'T LITTLE AT ALL
(HIGHLANDS, October 19) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to news reports indicating that Boeing has joined a growing list of major American corporations that have decided to curtail their employees' health benefits in the wake of the government takeover of healthcare - today reiterated her determination to repeal Obamacare when she gets to Congress in January.
"We said from the beginning," said Little, "that if this monstrosity passed, companies would be forced to make a hard choice between dropping coverage for their employees or raising their employees' contributions to their benefits. Yesterday, Boeing announced that it is joining the long and growing list of companies that is already beginning to curtail benefits for its employees - in this case, for their 90,000 non-union employees.
"The government takeover of healthcare - 'Pallonecare,' in honor of his declaration that 'This is not Obama's bill. This isn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. It's MY bill' - was wrong on several fronts. It is bad medicine, and it is bad for business. And I cannot for the life of me understand why our Representative would think it was a good thing to raise the cost of doing business at a time when we're trying to dig our way out of a jobless recovery.
"Washington just doesn't get it," continued Little. "Rather than take the right kind of actions - like voting to extend ALL the current tax rates for EVERY federal taxpayer, so that the entrepreneurs and job-creators in our economy know what will be the tax rates they face next year, and can make investment decisions accordingly - our leaders focus on growing the size of government and the reach of government, pushing it into areas it has no business being.
"Repealing Pallonecare will be the first step to restoring our nation's economic growth," said Little. "And the second step will be to extend the current tax rates for ALL of America's taxpayers, so that NO ONE faces a tax hike in the middle of a jobless recovery.
"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

OP-ED from September 16, 2010
No one can agree with any fellow human being on every issue. We are destined to express differing opinions from time to time as we travel our different paths from stop to stop on the campaign trail, and while working in elected office. Governor Christie and I agree on the matters that are of paramount importance to taxpayers: Jobs, the Economy, and Taxes. Together, we will ensure that New Jersey’s economy is moving again as quickly as possible, and that tax burdens on all taxpayers are reduced so that the New Jersey’s economy can be restored to health. I am proud to be described as a “Chris Christie style Republican”, and it is my honor to announce when visiting other states that I am a Mayor, and candidate for Congress from New Jersey, Chris Christie’s state.
On Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the home of Kenny Avon in Point Pleasant Governor Christie honored me with a keynote address at my fundraiser for my race against Frank Pallone. In addition to stating that there was no other Congressional Incumbent that he wanted to defeat more than Frank Pallone, Governor Christie congratulated me on my tenacity and my determination to ensure that taxpayers in Congressional District 6 received honest, passionate and steadfast representation in Washington. Governor Christie stated that he knew I could win my race because what I am doing has been done before. Governor Christie was outspent, but not outworked in his gubernatorial race. He won handily against then Governor Corzine frankly because the people of New Jersey had had enough.
My supporters are Chris Christie’s supporters. They believe in me as they believe in him. I am proud to be associated with this trailblazer who has laid the foundation for the grass roots campaign I run today. Governor Christie has stated he would like to campaign with me in this race. I’ve invited him to appear at one of my Saturday Ground Assault meetings, and I’ll be honored to participate in a Diner tour in the near future. I am grateful for the efforts of Governor Christie and GOP Chairman Jay Webber in securing the support of the Republican National Committee in my race. Our victory November 2 will be truly be a victory for Team New Jersey. Little Government is Good Government, New Jersey. Let’s take our government back!

LITTLE TROUNCES PALLONE AT LWV DEBATE
(ABERDEEN, October 18) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - buoyed by the support of a crowd where her supporters outnumbered 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone's supporters by at least 10-to-1 - handily dispatched Pallone in their League of Women Voters debate last night at the Temple Shalom in Aberdeen.
Usually, a post-debate press release includes some chest thumping by the campaign, claiming victory. And our headline certainly engages in a bit of that chest thumping, to be sure.
But a picture, as they say, is worth a thousand words - and a YouTube clip, as we say, is worth even more. So rather than tell you what happened last night in Aberdeen, we're going to let last night's encounter speak for itself. LITTLE TO PALLONE: WHAT OTHER DECISIONS DID YOU TRY TO INFLUENCE BECAUSE SOMEBODY GAVE YOU CAMPAIGN CASH?
(HIGHLANDS, October 15) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - continuing to highlight a report in The New York Times indicating that her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, worked to overturn a decision by the Food and Drug Administration after receiving campaign contributions from a medical device manufacturer whose device had been unanimously rejected on multiple occasions by FDA scientific reviewers - today called on Pallone to explain the exact nature of the transaction.
“Yesterday, The New York Times published a disturbing report about our Congressman, Frank Pallone, using his influence to get the FDA to approve a medical device after receiving campaign contributions from the device manufacturer,” said Little. “So yesterday, we challenged Rep. Pallone to tell us what OTHER federal government agencies he’s influenced on behalf of campaign contributors.
“Today, we’d like to go back to the original transaction, and get some more detail from Mr. Pallone,” said Little.
“Specifically, we’d like answers to the following questions:
“When you accepted your first contribution from an executive of the device manufacturer in December 2007, did you know then that he was hoping you would look favorably upon his request for help with the FDA? Put another way, was the campaign contribution — $2300, the maximum then allowed by law - the first you had heard of the device manufacturer and its problem with the FDA?
“If not - that is, if you knew of the device manufacturer’s problems with the FDA BEFORE you accepted the contribution - did you or anyone on your congressional or campaign staff (including fundraising consultants) indicate to the executive that his request would be far more likely to be given favorable consideration if it were accompanied by a contribution?
“If yes - that is, if you did NOT know of the device manufacturer’s problems with the FDA at the time you accepted the contribution - at what point, exactly, DID you become aware of the problems with the FDA? And at that point, did the fact that you had already accepted a contribution from an executive of the company raise any questions at all in your mind as to the propriety of offering assistance to a campaign contributor?
“The timing of the two contributions - the first, in December 2007, the second, in October 2008 - certainly seems interesting, given that the heavy lifting of the influence exerted by your office appears to have begun in December 2007. Would it be reasonable to draw the conclusion that the December 2007 contribution was an enticement to action, and the October 2008 contribution a ‘thank you’ for a job well done? If not, why not?
“We have many more questions for Mr. Pallone on this matter,” said Little. “But we don’t want to overtax him the way he overtaxes us. So we’ll just leave it here for now.
“Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!”

LITTLE TO PALLONE: WHAT OTHER DECISIONS DID YOU TRY TO INFLUENCE BECAUSE SOMEBODY GAVE YOU CAMPAIGN CASH?
(HIGHLANDS, October 14) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to a report in The New York Times indicating that her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, worked to overturn a decision by the Food and Drug Administration after receiving campaign contributions from a medical device manufacturer whose device had been unanimously rejected on multiple occasions by FDA scientific reviewers - today called on Pallone to tell his constituents what OTHER federal government decisions he has tried to influence on the basis of campaign contributions.
"Today The New York Times published a disturbing report about our Congressman, Frank Pallone, using his influence to get the FDA to approve a medical device after receiving campaign contributions from the device manufacturer," said Little. "The device in question had been reviewed and rejected unanimously by FDA scientific reviewers over a number of years, according to a report issued by the FDA last year," continued Little. "But under pressure from Frank Pallone and others, senior managers at the agency made a political decision to overturn the recommendation of their own reviewers.
"According to a report in The New York Times from last year, Rep. Pallone began making inquiries on behalf of the device manufacturer after receiving contributions to his campaign account -- $2300 in December 2007 and another $1000 in October 2008 - from an executive of the device manufacturer. The inquiries began in December 2007.
"Here in New Jersey, especially, where we have long fought a corrupt political culture where 'pay to play' has been deeply embedded at the state and local level, it's especially troubling to learn that our representatives in Washington apparently have been engaging in the same kind of activity.
"I don't know which is worse - knowing that the FDA can be influenced by political pressures, or NOT knowing what other federal agency decisions Frank Pallone has tried to influence because a campaign donor asked him to. Perhaps Rep. Pallone can save us a lot of time and trouble by just telling us what other federal agency decisions he's tried to influence based on his latest campaign needs?

LITTLE: DOES PALLONE NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TAX 'CUT' AND A TAX 'HIKE?'
OR IS HE DELIBERATELY TELLING UNTRUTHS?
(HIGHLANDS, October 14) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to publication of an analysis by Americans for Tax Reform of the 111th Congress' record on tax cuts v. tax hikes - today asked if her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, understands the difference between a tax "cut" and a tax "increase."
"Its clear that Frank Pallone's been in Washington too darn long," said Little. "Apparently, he's been there so long, voting for so many tax increases and so much more spending, that he's now begun to confuse tax 'cuts' with tax 'increases.'
"On NJN's 'On the Record' broadcast over the weekend, he said the current Congress has enacted more tax cuts than any other Congress.
"Here's his exact quote: 'I mean, there's been more tax cuts and efforts to try to, uh, uh, help businesses through tax credits or tax cuts in this Congress than in any other Congress.'
"But Americans for Tax Reform - the nation's leading tax reform group - just yesterday published an analysis that essentially says Frank Pallone doesn't know what he's talking about. According to the ATR analysis, the 111th Congress enacted tax cuts totaling $373.6 billion, of which just $107.6 billion is permanent tax relief.
"Meanwhile, that same Congress enacted tax INCREASES totaling $725.7 billion, of which every single penny is permanent.
"That's a net tax HIKE of $352 billion enacted by the current Congress. So Frank Pallone's insistence that this Congress has passed more tax cuts than any other Congress leads me to ask a simple question - does Frank Pallone not understand the difference between a tax 'cut' and a tax 'increase,' or he is just willfully telling an untruth?
"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

LITTLE: I GET IT. DOES PALLONE?
(HIGHLANDS, October 13) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - an independent wife and mother who, unlike her 22-year incumbent opponent, Frank Pallone, has never voted for, and will never vote for, Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House of Representatives - today reiterated that she "gets it," and asked if her opponent even understands the term.
"People greet me all the time when we're out knocking on doors," said Little, "and household after household, I hear the same thing - 'Anna, you get it.'
"When working families in the Sixth District tell me they're having a hard time making ends meet, I get it.
"When they tell me they're upset that the politicians in Washington don't seem to care about what their constituents back home think, I get it.
"When they share with me the difficulties of trying to make the mortgage payment, save for the kids' braces and maybe put away a little something for college or even a weekend getaway down the Shore, I get it.
"When mothers tell me of their concerns over the government takeover of healthcare, and their fear that they'll no longer be able to see the doctor of their choice, whether for themselves or their children, I get it.
"When seniors tell me of their anger that the bill Frank Pallone voted for cuts Medicare by $500 billion, I get it.
"When I'm told that taxes are too high, and government spends too much, and we're drowning in a river of red ink thanks to politicians like Frank Pallone, I get it.
"That's why 200 people came out to walk with us in the Columbus Day Parade in Long Branch on Sunday," continued Little. "But 200 people didn't come out to walk with Frank Pallone. Fewer than a dozen did.
"I guess that's because Frank just doesn't get it. Does he even understand the term?
"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

"America's Governor", Chris Christie, to rally with Anna Little in Piscataway
HIGHLANDS, NJ - As is par for the course with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, at just the right moment in the heated 6th District Congressional race the Governor will rally with Republican candidate for Congress, Anna Little, and her Army on Sunday, October 17th at the American Legion in Piscataway at 5:00 pm.
Anna's Army will arrive en masse to greet the Governor, complete with "Anna's Armada", motorcycles and hundreds of cars, after spending the day in a grand caravan throughout the Middlesex, Union and Somerset parts of the District.
Governor Christie has been heard as saying that he is "so tired of Frank Pallone". Displaying that knack for saying what everyone else is thinking, the Governor and Anna will rally the troops just 16 days away from what promises to be the most exciting 6th District Congressional race in memory.
Members of the press are encouraged to arrive early as the sheer number of volunteers attending the rally promises to be in the hundreds. The American Legion is located at 840 S. Washington Ave, Piscataway, New Jersey.

LITTLE: IS PALLONE LIVING ON THE PLANET OF OPPOSITES?
(HIGHLANDS, October 12) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to a statement by her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, on NJN's "On the Record" that "there have been more tax cuts ... in this Congress than in any other Congress" - today asked Pallone if he is living on The Planet of Opposites, where night is day, down is up, Barack Obama is Ronald Reagan, and a tax hike is a tax cut.
"Is Frank Pallone living on the Planet Earth, or on The Planet of Opposites?
"On NJN's 'On the Record' broadcast over the weekend, Frank Pallone said the 111th Congress has passed 'more tax cuts ... than in any other Congress' - a statement which, I'm sure, had all the taxpayers running to their mailboxes to see where was their missing tax cut, the one they never received," said Little.
"Seriously, here's his exact quote: 'I mean, there's been more tax cuts and efforts to try to, uh, uh, help businesses through tax credits or tax cuts in this Congress than in any other Congress.'
"'More tax cuts ... than in any other Congress?'
"Can he be serious? Does he believe we have forgotten the vote he cast a week and a half ago, to adjourn the Congress and flee Washington before casting a vote that could help prevent the biggest tax HIKE in American history? He cast the DECIDING VOTE on that one, and in doing so, failed to block a massive tax hike scheduled to kick in on New Year's Day.
"Or could it be that he thinks we have forgotten the 20 new or higher taxes in the healthcare bill he still proudly insists is 'Not Obama's bill ... not Pelosi's bill. It's MY bill?' Higher taxes on working families that will total over $500 billion - to go with the $500 billion in Medicare cuts he voted for?
"Only on The Planet of Opposites does what Frank Pallone said about this Congress and tax cuts make sense. Unfortunately for him, his constituents still have their feet planted firmly right here on Planet Earth, and in 22 days they're going to be sending him into retirement - whether here on Earth, or there on The Planet of Opposites, will be his choice," continued Little.
"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

LITTLE: DON'T JUST GIVE WAIVERS, REPEAL THE DARN THING
(HIGHLANDS, October 8) - Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to news reports indicating that major employers like McDonalds are receiving waivers from the Obama Administration to keep them from dropping health insurance for their employees - today reiterated her determination to fight in Congress to repeal Obamacare.
"When Nancy Pelosi and Frank Pallone succeeded in jamming through their government takeover of healthcare back in the Spring, we predicted that it wouldn't be long before major insurers threatened to drop out of markets and major employers threatened to drop their employee coverage," said Little. "Sadly, the law hasn't even been on the books for a year, and already those predictions are coming to pass.
"According to a report in Wednesday's New York Times, companies like McDonalds are telling the Obama Administration that the new regulations are simply too costly and too complicated to implement, and that unless they get a waiver from the regulations, they'll be forced to drop health insurance coverage for their employees," Little continued. "The Administration's response? Grant the waivers.
"That's terrific for McDonalds. But what about all the hundreds of thousands of other businesses, large and small, that don't have the clout or the name ID McDonalds has? What about them? They're going to have to live with the regulations - or drop their coverage. And that would force even more Americans to leave their doctors, and apply for coverage in some government-controlled insurance pool. That's just wrong.
"Remember, Frank Pallone said this is HIS bill. 'This is not Obama's bill. This isn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. It's MY bill,' he famously said.
"I wonder what is Frank's solution? Because my solution is simple - don't give waivers, just repeal the darn thing.
"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

LITTLE CAMP RESPONDS TO MONMOUTH POLL ADJUSTMENT
(HIGHLANDS, October 8) - Larry Cirignano, campaign manager for Republican congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to the Monmouth University Polling Institute's remarkable decision to adjust its numbers on a survey as a result of a numbers-crunching analysis by a local blogger - today released the following statement:
"In all my years of working to elect conservative candidates, I've never before seen a pollster acknowledge that his own numbers were wrong. But yesterday afternoon, that's exactly what happened, when the Monmouth University Polling Institute adjusted the numbers on the survey it released a day earlier and cut 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone's 'lead' by 25 percent, slashing it from 12 points to just 9.
"This remarkable turn of events happened as the result of an analysis by Art Gallagher, the editor of MoreMonmouthMusings.net.
"When the survey results were originally released, we questioned the methodology of the survey - it used robo-calls instead of live callers. We also raised a question regarding the composition of the survey sample, given that the survey indicated that Anna Little was leading Frank Pallone by 51-38 percent among Independents, yet Anna was still supposedly trailing by a dozen points - a clear indication that there were too many Democrats included in the survey.
"But Art Gallagher took the questions a step further. He checked the survey sample against voter file databases and demonstrated through a rigorous analysis (available online here: http://www.moremonmouthmusings.net/2010/10/06/musings-on-the-monmouth-university-cd-6-poll/) that the Monmouth numbers simply did not add up correctly. And then he got in touch with the survey director and shared the results of his analysis.
"And, to his credit, Monmouth University Polling Institute director Patrick Murray acknowledged to Gallagher that 'your assumptions are as good as mine, and this is a very volatile electorate' - and then he adjusted his own numbers to reflect a 51-42 percent Pallone lead, instead of the 12-point lead he originally projected.
"When you stop to consider that the day before, Murray, speaking of what he believed to be a 12-point Pallone lead, said, 'A 12 point lead may look comfortable, but not when you consider the fact that Pallone regularly wins reelection by more than 30 points,' you can only ask yourself - just how worried is Frank Pallone now?
"We're quite confident that when our campaign's advertising kicks in, these numbers are going to shift even further in our favor.
"Remember, you cannot change Washington without changing the people we send to Washington!"

REMINDER: PALLONE SAID GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER OF HEALTHCARE WAS HIS IDEA
(HIGHLANDS, October 7) - Republican congressional challenger Anna Little - responding to release of a national survey indicating that the electorate's opposition to the government takeover of healthcare enacted earlier this year is growing and hardening as the election approaches - today reminded voters in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District that her opponent, 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone, famously claimed of the legislation, "This is not Obama's bill. This isn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. This is MY bill."
"Nancy Pelosi and Frank Pallone were wrong to enact legislation mandating a government takeover of our healthcare," said Little. "The bill they pushed through puts a government bureaucrat between you and your family doctor, reduces patient choice, raises taxes, and cuts Medicare by $500 billion. That's just wrong.
"What's worse," continued Little, "is that Frank Pallone insists it wasn't Barack Obama's bill, and it wasn't Nancy Pelosi's bill. No, he insists, it was HIS bill all along. You can see video of him claiming it was his bill right here: http://www.stoppallone.com/
"Frankly, Frank, the voters of New Jersey's 6th Congressional District don't care whether it was your bill or Nancy Pelosi's bill - all they care about is that it be repealed as soon as possible," Little continued. "And that's exactly what I plan to do when I get to Congress next year.
"We need healthcare reform that actually puts more power in the hands of patients and their doctors, and takes it away from government bureaucrats," said Little. "We need healthcare reform that strengthens Medicare, rather than cuts it, and we need healthcare reform that increases patient choice, rather than reduces it.
"That's what we're going to try to do in the next Congress, and that's why I cannot wait to get there.
"The good news is, there's an election in 26 days!"

LITTLE: PALLONE SEEMS TO THINK YOU CAN AFFORD A $1,862/YEAR TAX HIKE. REALLY.
(HIGHLANDS, October 1) - Republican congressional challenger Anna Little - continuing to highlight the vote by her opponent, 22-year incumbent Washington fixture Frank Pallone, to adjourn Congress and return home to campaign without first holding a vote to extend the current tax rates - today pointed out that for the average family in the 6th Congressional District, that translates to a $1,862 per year tax hike.
"Frank Pallone seems to think the average family in our congressional district can afford a $1,862 per year tax hike," said Little. "Maybe that's what he gets for staying in Washington so long. After 22 years living the high life with the lobbyists, it's clear he's forgotten his roots.
"These aren't numbers someone is making up out of thin air. According to the Tax Foundation, failure to extend the current tax rates would mean the average family in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District would see its federal tax liability rise from $6,768 per year to $8,630 per year - that's a hike of $1,862 per year, and represents a 27.5 percent increase," continued Little.
"Two days ago, Nancy Pelosi and her liberal allies like Frank Pallone decided they'd be better off campaigning without first taking a vote to increase taxes on America's job creators," continued Little. "So they just decided to leave town without doing their jobs. In doing so, they effectively chose to vote for a tax increase - because everyone knows they're far less likely to feel constrained after the election, in a lame duck session, than they would have BEFORE the election, when voters could have punished them for voting for a tax increase.
"In other words, getting out of town now translates to higher taxes later.
"But there's a way to stop it - and that's for the American electorate to rise up and say, 'Enough!'"
"When I get to Congress, I'm determined to fight with everything in my power to see to it that NO American taxpayer faces a tax hike - and especially not when we've still got an economy teetering on the brink of a double-dip recession.
"I've said it before, and I'll say it again - you cannot change Washington without changing the PEOPLE in Washington.
"The good news is, there's an election in 33 days!"
